Get Into Teaching

What routes into teaching are available?

Most of our primary courses offer a PGCE with Masters credits.  You can find us on the government ‘APPLY’ website,  (our institution code is 10034267).  You can also download a handy list of all our courses by hitting the button below.

Here are some easy steps to choosing the right course for you:

1. Select your age range: Do you want  Primary 3-7 or Primary 5-11?

2. Do you want to add a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)? This option will give you the maximum number of opportunities in your career, such as teaching abroad.

3. Do you want to train full-time or part-time? Part-time options are for at least 2.5 days per week and will be designed on an individual basis.  The PGCE is available to part-time trainees and will be completed in the first two terms.

4. Fee paying or salaried? A very small number of our schools offer salaries each year, which may be salaried places or apprenticeships.  Both lead to the same qualifications and the training follows the same programme. Salaried places are in extremely high demand so we recommend applying early for these (if you are not successful at securing a salaried offer but you are a high-quality candidate; don’t worry. We will automatically convert your offer to a fee-paying one).   See our finance pages to see details of sources of funding to support your journey.

ALL OUR FEE-PAYING COURSES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR STUDENT LOANS

You can find more information on this page and will need to use this application form. to apply.
