What Can I Train To teach?

What courses are available?

Most of our primary and secondary courses offer a PGCE with Masters credits. All our Primary Teacher Training courses include a sports coaching qualification, awarded by the Football Association.

There are the 4 main routes which you will choose from:

Fee Paying QTS only: This route is in order to obtain Qualified teacher status but without the Postgraduate Certificate in Education

Fee Paying PGCE + QTS: This route is in order to obtain Qualified teacher status and the Postgraduate Certificate in Education which is useful for international work and further academic qualifications eg. Masters in Education

Salaried graduate apprentice PGCE + QTS: School Direct Training Routes are fee paying routes provided by schools, working in partnership with a SCITT or University.

Assessment only: If you are currently working as an unqualified graduate teacher in a school, you may be able to gain Qualified Teacher Status via the Assessment Only route into teaching.


Can I specialise?

We offer specialist routes for primary teachers who wish to tailor their training in SEND, PE, Behaviour and Maths. These are specific courses

All teachers can access enhanced training in Maths, SEND, Behaviour and Leadership. This is less of a time commitment.
